Episcopal Decree
Dear brothers
and Sisters,
I am delighted
to extend an invitation to you to
participate in the 2nd Melkite
Catholic Eparchy Convention for Australia
and New Zealand. The convention will
be held from Friday to Sunday, 20 – 22
November 2009.
The Melkite
Convention 2009 is open to all our Priests,
Deacons, Religious Sisters, Eparchy
Directors and Parishioners, especially
members of: Eparchy Pastoral Council, Parish
Councils, Stewardship Committees, Family,
Ladies' and Youth committees; as well as
educators.
This is our
opportunity to respond to our Lord's call to
grow our Church in Australia and New
Zealand.
The objectives
of this convention are to evaluate our
present situation, share and reflect on our
achievements to date and formulate plans for
the future, to have input in on the
development of a Diocesan Pastoral Plan.
Through this invitation God is asking each
of us to work together hand in hand and
heart to heart!
I am confident
that it will be a time of wonderful
fellowship and spiritual renewal for all.
You are welcome to bring along your partner
or adult children to the convention.
